Democratizing the Press: How Shazir Mucklai and Imperium AI Expand Media Access

The alternative business funding ecosystem frequently struggles with fragmented networks, manual underwriting procedures, and inconsistent communication channels. Ali Jozani, founder of The Funded Method, views these operational gaps not just as obstacles, but as structural flaws waiting to be corrected.
Operated through JZNI Holdings LLC, The Funded Method serves as an AI-native training platform designed for newcomers entering the sector. The program blends traditional underwriting training with modern technological workflows aimed at optimizing client intake, lender matchmaking, submission processes, and automated follow-ups.
Jozani’s professional pathway departed significantly from conventional expectations. Moving to the United States from Iran at ten years old, he initially pursued pre-med coursework to satisfy standard immigrant career expectations. However, two early entrepreneurial ventures altered his direction.
His initial attempt with an Amazon FBA business ultimately failed, and subsequent gains and losses in digital asset trading taught him a fundamental lesson. That experience demonstrated that while speculation might offer short-term wins, lasting ventures depend on robust, disciplined operational frameworks.
Jozani subsequently spent over five years managing operations at a seven-figure alternative funding brokerage. In that role, he personally directed roughly 95% of the firm’s overall deal flow, recruited and coached more than 200 remote sales personnel, established the internal underwriting department, and forged direct connections with upwards of 200 separate lenders.
This hands-on exposure covered a vast array of financial instruments, including merchant cash advances, business lines of credit, Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), and zero-percent credit card stacking. Beyond understanding the products, he recognized that effective brokers must identify which lenders favor specific businesses, comprehend individual risk assessment guidelines, and maintain a smooth pipeline.
“There are more than 200 lenders in this market,” Jozani noted. “Most new brokers know ten of them, and they wonder why their approval rate is low.”
That background directly inspired the formation of The Funded Method. According to Jozani, alternative funding remains one of the final segments of finance where vital tasks are executed largely by hand. Brokers still commonly review bank statements manually, submit applications sequentially, and lose viable deals simply because documents fall through the cracks.
“This industry is one of the last places in finance where a person still reads a bank statement by hand,” Jozani stated. “That is not tradition, that is a gap.”
The 12-week educational framework aims to close that gap while preserving human critical thinking. Participants learn fundamental business appraisal, funder requirements, intake coordination, submission handling, relationship cultivation, and follow-up automation.
The curriculum emphasizes proper sequencing. Jozani maintains that brokers must understand foundational mechanics before deploying AI tools.
“AI should do the underwriting math. The broker still has to understand the decision,” he explained. “Skip that order and you have built a very fast way to be wrong.”
The primary goal is to help new brokers complete their first funded transaction within approximately 90 days.
Jozani also argues that enduring success in brokerage depends on reliable systems rather than mere sales hustle. “Every broker fails the same way,” he remarked. “Not from a lack of hustle, from a lack of process. The deal dies in the follow-up, not the pitch.”

Alongside its cohort training, The Funded Method offers self-paced materials and publishes complimentary resources such as The 2026 Broker Stack, an annual briefing detailing market technologies, financial instruments, lenders, and operating systems.
By automating administrative duties while reinforcing human oversight and technical proficiency, Jozani’s model provides a clear roadmap for operating within the alternative capital sector.
